If this shutdown is like all those previous, "working without pay" means only that pay will be delayed until a budget is passed. Other than furloughs, nothing changes. Seniors, military, pensioners, and all other retained government employees in "non-discretionary" positions (mandated) will received their full pay when the government reopens.
My prayer is that wickedness and evil will be rooted out of government through this shutdown. Until that happens, Lord may the shutdown continue.

Father, I pray for Secretary Hegseth to have wisdom as he works with President Trump to seek to restore law and order in cities experiencing increased crime. I pray that they would do this in a manner that complies with the Constitution and that it would be a measured response not one that sparks panicked reactions. Taking My wife Lisa to Hospital for shortness of breath.
After the Long drive to Indy, I checked Lisa into the ER. Then after 2 blood tests and 2 EKG's, a Chest X-Ray, and a CT Scan: Here is what I found out. Because of Lisa's Afib, Lisa was taken on water on the Lungs. It turns out 2 months ago her medicine for high blood pressure & with a diuretic medicine was accidently shut off by the VA doctor which caused the problem. That's what the ER Doctor thinks. So they got her the 90 day refill until Lisa contacted her doctor to get her meds restarted again. Lisa was thinking that the medicine was lost in the mail and was waiting for it to arrive, but it was never sent. As far...

Heavenly Father, I pray for Erika Kirk. In the next days. weks and months as she grieves Father, I ask tha yu would comfort her and wrap your arms around her. She will have very sad days among busy days, and I ask that on those sad, hard days you would send someone to her who will give her encouragement and comfort. Taking My wife Lisa to Hospital for shortness of breath.
After the Long drive to Indy, I checked Lisa into the ER. Then after 2 blood tests and 2 EKG's, a Chest X-Ray, and a CT Scan: Here is what I found out. Lisa now has the correct medicine and has taken a few days off work to see if things turn around. The next day Lisa is getting weaker and not getting better. My health seems to be tied to Lisa's health, and my health is failing.
